Once a week, the village centre of Hinterglemm is transformed into a traditional market square. At the Hinterglemm Gasslfest, locals and guests meet up for a cosy stroll. Various stalls with products from the region, traditional handicrafts and atmospheric music and dance performances create an Alpine flair. From the Thurnerhof you can easily reach the centre of the action.
The Hinterglemm Gasslfest
In the summer months, the Hinterglemm Gasslfest is a fixed point in the weekly programme. The centre of Hinterglemm, which can be reached from the Thurnerhof in 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bike, is transformed into a traditional marketplace. Beekeepers offer organic honey products for sale, there is bacon and cheese from the mountain pastures, fresh pastries and much more. Ointments, herbal products, schnapps and knitted items make fine holiday souvenirs for loved ones at home.
Local dance and music groups provide the perfect atmosphere. The beautiful traditional costumes are just as impressive as the lively tunes, so there's never a dull moment throughout the evening!
Stroll through the streets together, sample the local specialities here and there and take home some home-made treats - the Hinterglemm Gasslfest* is sure to delight the whole family!
