The best lines and trails

Where to go? More than 20 lines and trails make the downhill happening in Saalbach Hinterglemm a real highlight. From the beginner-friendly tour, with small obstacles, to the absolute pro challenge – there is something for everyone! How about, for example:

  • Blue-Line: Freeriding beginners will get to grips really well on the Reiterkogel. Easy jumps and steep bends gently prepare the freeriders for the next challenges.
  • Wurzel-Trail (Root Trail): On this natural trail, the name says it all! Countless rooted passages lead over a bumpy route – ideal for the fine-tuning of your own riding technique.
  • Monti-Line: The wide, simple trail at the Kohlmais has particularly generous bends and easy first jump elements.
  • Panorama-Line: An easy-going single trail with lots of flow which even leaves time to enjoy the wonderful view of Saalbach Hinterglemm. Beginners and soul-riders will feel right at home here.
  • Höllen-Trail: Various lines on this unmaintained trail exude some danger and should only be tackled by experienced riders. The Northshore elements are a real challenge.
  • Asitz-Trail: The natural trail connects the Home of Lässig with Leogang and can be ridden in both directions. Freeriders and endurance riders will be thrilled by the narrow, yet flowing passages.
  • Hochalm-Trail: Whether on its own, or in combination with the Hochalm tour, the stream crossings, root passages and stone fields offer trail-bikers a real sense of adventure!
  • Pro-Line: Narrow forest paths, rocky passages, doubles, tables, drops, and a whole lot more offer professionals a perfect playground. This is, naturally, the reason why the Pro-Line is constantly used for top-class bike contests.
  • X-Line: A distance of more than 6 km, and an altitude difference of 1,025 metres, make X-Line one of the longest freeride routes in Europe. The flowing single trail entrance is deceptive because, after that, it gets really tricky!
  • Bergstadl-Trail: Only absolute experts are to be found on the Westgipfelbahn. Several steep passages, completely rooted terrain, and hidden hairpin bends really test the downhillers’ skills.

The most stunning bike-parks

Are you ready for a real challenge? The region’s bike-parks invite skilled bikers who demonstrate cool tricks, and those who want to become such, to especially designed courses and areas. Beginner-friendly courses, large practice areas and daring professional jumps will thrill everyone!

  • Learn-to-Ride Park: It is not just children who love this beginner-friendly park which perfectly prepares them for Saalbach’s downhill offerings. Smaller versions of the most popular trails playfully introduce children to their first drops, steep turns and jumps.
  • Bagjump: Although the Reiterkogel Bagjump is not a park in the conventional sense, it still prepares you for the tricky challenges in the Home of Lässig. The landing area is particularly soft and safe.
  • Epic Bikepark: It is not just the MTB world elite who competes in Leogang. The Epic Bikepark has numerous lines and trails, its own Pro-Jump-Line that offers an incredible experience in the air, as well as a practice area covering around 10,000 m2. Even the most experienced pros will enjoy the challenge here!

Pump-tracks in Saalbach

Once considered a fad, now indispensable in the Home of Lässig: The pump-tracks on the Reiterkogel are among the most popular options for freeriders in Saalbach Hinterglemm. On the wave course, there is a constant up-and-down and, as much as possible, without pedalling. These two courses, part of the Reiterkogelbahn riding technique and practice area, train endurance, balance and strength in equal measure. In addition, mountain-bikers learn how to deal with waves and jumps here before they venture out to try the tricky lines. Not least because of this, the Reiterkogel pump-tracks are seen as a popular warm-up for big MTB adventures.
If you like biking action, you will love the Home of Lässig! Between Saalbach and Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn, an abundance of downhill and freeride offers await pros, and those who want to become such.

Right at the centre of it all is the Thurnerhof, the activity hotel for the young and the young-at-heart. Have you already requested a non-obligatory holiday offer?
