Welcome to the E-Bike Hotel in Beautiful Austria!

Saalbach Hinterglemm’s most beautiful vantage points often remain hidden from less experienced and enduring cyclists. Motorised assistance, however, provides a solution. With an e-bike, even challenging routes and trails are a little easier to tackle. If needed, some assistance switches on, providing additional tailwind uphill.

The Thurnerhof is the top address for your next e-bike holiday in Austria. Here, you can even rent your motorised vehicle on-site!

Did you know that you can book your Thurnerhof holiday in Austria including an e-bike? In the hotel, our own e-bikes are at your disposal, both for short excursions and for longer tours. You are welcome to make your rental wishes known directly when you make your booking, and spontaneous rentals are also possible on-site, if there is sufficient capacity – our hotel team will be more than happy to help.

Furthermore, we would like to recommend HELI’s, our partner-shop in Hinterglemm. In addition to a wide variety of e-bikes, you can also book your own biking courses – alone or as a group – as well as guided day-tours with local guides.

The E-Bike Region

The 400 mountain-bike kilometres in the Home of Lässig are, naturally, also open to e-bikers. With a small electric motor, many a climb can be mastered more easily. A seamless network of charging stations covers all the tours. A battery is charged to 80% in just 45 minutes – perfect for a short break in one of about 40 huts which also offer refreshments and snacks. In addition, exchange batteries can be rented at the same time.

In addition to the familiar MTB tours, there are also designated routes for motorised riders on e-bike holidays in Austria, which are well-marked and lead to the destination by the shortest route. Eight inspiring trails for beginners and advanced bikers promise the best biking enjoyment:

  • E-Freeride-Runde” circuit: The lower section of the X-Line is tackled in comfort on the way to the middle station of the Schattberg X-Press.
  • “Wetterkreuz-Tour”: After a short ascent with the Reiterkogel cable-car, this beginner-friendly tour, featuring the flowing Wetterkreuz trail and the Blue Line, is on the programme.
  • “E-Tyrol”: Notable climbs can be avoided, thanks to the mountain lifts. On the alpine pastures and paths to Leogang, with wonderful views of Tyrol, you can enjoy a relaxed ride.
  • "E-Tyrol Deluxe”: This is a challenging variant leading to the Grießner Almen. A rustic highlight awaits you at your stop at the Tödlingalm.
  • “Örgenbaueralm-Tour”: The Saalachtal and Saalfelden with the Steinernes Meer are the destinations on this seven-hour tour. There are no trails to be found here!
  • “Hacklberg-Trail” & Huberhochalm: The Westgipfel cable-car takes you directly to the Hacklberg entrance. At the trail half-time, there is a forest path to the Huberhochalm with its own trail. The forest passages are quite challenging!
  • “E-Black Lion”: More than eight hours on picturesque forest routes lead to Tyrol. Several alpine pastures and two gondola rides are features of this always demanding and panoramic tour.
  • “Big (E)Pic”: In fact, the name says it all: 54-kilometres, with almost 2,000 metres of ascent. Five charging-stations cover the XXL tour, with the Spielberghaus, the Bernkogel, and the Hochalm trail as highlights.

E-Marathon at the World Games

The World Games of Mountain-Biking are amongst the most popular bike events in the country. It is not just a highlight for mountain-bikers: The marathon distances now even have their own contest for e-bikers who take on the daunting test with motorised support. The approx. 33 kilometres, and about 1,450 metres of altitude difference, lead towards the Bernkogel. Amateurs can also take part in this competition. In addition, the route is, of course, open to all bikers outside the contest periods, too.

So, excitement and variety are guaranteed on your next e-bike holiday in Austria. The guests enjoy the direct connection to the most beautiful routes, the ideal infrastructure on-site and a strong rental offer for every taste.
